Ian Dillon
Ian is a partner in the firm’s corporate and commercial department. Ian was born and educated in Ireland. Prior to becoming a solicitor, Ian worked in financial services first as a trainee underwriter and administrator and then with Fortis Fund Services in Dublin’s International Financial Services Centre. After graduating with an honours LL.B., Ian trained as a solicitor with William Fry Solicitors, one of Dublin’s leading commercial law firms.

Areas of practice and expertise:
Specializes in on all aspects of corporate and financial services law including in particular investment and private equity fund formation, structuring/restructuring and governance. Advises in relation to commercial and corporate finance transactions as well as insurance law and entity formation. Clients have included a number of large and small investment managers and fund structures, administrators and services providers as well as acting as special counsel to fund directors. Also advised private and listed technology and start-up entities (many in China and Asia generally) on listing and series financing requirements.
